The first set is a collection of twelve postcards of watercolor paintings by Karl Graf 'Zwischen Westwall und Maginotlinie' (Bewteen the Siegfried and Maginot line) Westmark border towns destroyed by war. The paintings show views of destroyed towns during the Saar Offensive. Published by the German Labor Front 'Kraft Durch Freude' ((Strength through Joy) Gau Westmark raising funds for the reconstruction of the destroyed area. 12 color postcards, 5.875 x 4.125 in. with envelope. WITH: The second set of art postcards provides a polar opposite experience, pastoral landscapes of the Sudetenland and strong, healthy people. This is a collection of twelve postcards, 5.875 x 4.125 in., by various artists, published by Reichskommissar for the Sudeten German districts, Konrad Henlein and the 'Strength Through Joy' organization. With envelope. WITH: The last group of twelve postcards, 5.75 x 4 in., reproduce paintings by Austrian military painters Alexander Pock and Ludwig Koch. Original paintings are very desirable. The images depict scenes of the Austrian Army (Bundesheer) before the Anschluss. Very good collection of 36 postcards.
