ALEXANDER POKRYSHKIN MARSHAL OF SOVIET AIR FORCE
(1913 - 1985) Legendary fighter-pilot, one of the highest-scoring Soviet aces, three times Hero of the Soviet Union. His most impressive kill record came during the battle for the Kuban region in 1943. Signed document. 1959, 4 pages, 11 x 8 in., military attestation of Lieutenant Colonel Anatoly Arabukin, Deputy Commander of the 120th Fighter Division. Comrade Pokryshkin signs as Commander of the 8th Independent Air Defense Army Kiev on the bottom of page three.
