Roman pottery woman’s head, dating to 3rd-4th cent Rome. - A very interesting pottery fragment of a woman’s head, dating to 3rd-4th century AD, Rome. Originally the fragment was the spout in a larger vessel. A woman’s head is carved in the exterior of the spout. Nice red terracotta - an interesting piece. Size: c. 85 mm. - 3,35 inches. Condition: A choice fragment w. some wear. Ex Hôtel Drouot, Paris; before that in French private collection. Acquired before 1970.
