Vintage Britains and Manoil Lead Toy Soldiers - Group of vintage hand-painted lead toy soldiers featuring British military bandsmen, West Point cadets, and American military figures, dating primarily from the 1920s through the 1950s. Includes eight Britains British Guards military band figures, believed to represent the Coldstream Guards Band, Set No. 37, dressed in traditional red tunics and black bearskin caps, playing various brass and percussion instruments. Also includes four Britains West Point Cadets, attributed to Set No. 226, introduced in 1926, wearing gray uniforms with white crossed belts and carrying rifles. Completing the group are seven prewar American military figures in navy-blue uniforms with peaked caps, white belts, and rifles, possibly manufactured by Manoil during the 1930s-1940s. An attractive group of early military miniatures. Vintage condition with age-related paint loss, chipping, surface wear, and some missing or damaged details, as photographed.
