Antq Chinese Ming-Qing Blue & White Porcelain Bowl - Antique Chinese blue and white porcelain bowl, likely dating from the late Ming to early Qing period. The small footed bowl features freely hand-painted underglaze cobalt decoration with bold scrolling and calligraphic-style motifs around the exterior. The interior is bordered with geometric decoration around the rim and centered by a stylized auspicious character or calligraphic device within a double blue circle. The piece displays irregularities associated with early hand-produced porcelain, including kiln grit and firing adhesions visible within the interior and around the foot. Condition: Antique condition with surface wear, firing imperfections, kiln adhesions and losses/chipping around the foot rim consistent with age. Size: 2” tall x 4” diameter.
