19th C Austrian Biedermeier Ebonized Portal Clock - 19th-century Austrian Biedermeier portal mantel clock featuring an architectural ebonized wood case supported by a pair of pale marble-like columns with gilt capitals and bases. The upper section is richly decorated with mother-of-pearl floral rosettes and opposing eagle-form ornaments, complemented by gilt accents throughout. The round white enamel dial has black Arabic numerals and ornate hands within a decorative gilt bezel. Below the dial is an exposed pendulum with an engine-turned bob framed by gilt foliate ornament. Mechanical movement with coiled gong strike housed behind the dial. Comes with two winding keys. Working condition with age-related wear and surface marks consistent with its period. Approximately 20” x 14” x 5”.
