Pre-WWII Haenel Mod. 28 Air Pistol .177 Cal. - Haenel Model 28 .177 caliber break-barrel spring-piston air pistol, serial number 18440, manufactured in Germany during the mid to late 1930s. Blued steel construction with two-piece wood grips bearing circular Haenel medallions. Equipped with a blade front sight, adjustable rear sight, and knurled rear cap. Markings include ”HAENEL MOD. 28,” British patent number 27726, ”D.R.P.,” ”CAL. 4.5 m/m (.177),” and ”MADE IN GERMANY.” CONDITION: Metal surfaces show finish thinning, scratches, scattered oxidation and freckling, and bright edge wear, particularly around the breech and muzzle assembly. Wood grips show rubbing, scratches, dings, and small gouges; grip medallions show tarnish.
