Belgian Peerless Zulu Conversion 12 Ga Shotgun - Belgian Peerless Zulu-type single-shot black-powder breechloading shotgun, approximately 12 gauge based on a measured .75-inch bore. The 34-inch barrel is measured to the front of the breech opening. Side-hinged breechblock with external hammer, single trigger, bead front sight, straight-grip wood stock and forearm, and metal buttplate. Belgian Liege proof marks and a faint ”PEERLESS” trade marking appear on the barrel. CONDITION: Metal surfaces show an overall gray-brown patina with oxidation, scattered pitting, finish loss, and wear. Stock and forearm show substantial handling wear, scratches, dents, and finish loss. Cracking and separation are visible around the lock and wrist area, with a wood plug repair on the left buttstock.
