Possible Philippine WWII Stiletto Fighting Knife - Possibly Filipino fighting knife with broad steel blade, turned hardwood grip, engraved brass ferrule, bird-form brass crossguard, and stepped brass pommel cap. The fitted hardwood scabbard has engraved floral brass throat and chape mounts, a turned finial, and leather suspension loop. Blade length 4 3/4 inches; 17 1/2 inches with scabbard. CONDITION: Blade has been heavily shortened and reshaped, with coarse grinding, oxidation, staining, and a crudely reprofiled tip. Hardwood grip has cracks, chips, and losses, including at the pommel. Brass mounts show tarnish, spotting, and verdigris; scabbard wood has scratches and finish wear. Leather suspension loop is dry, cracked, and worn.
