Hunter Arms L.C. Smith Grade 00 SxS 12ga Shotgun - Hunter Arms Co. L.C. Smith Grade 00 12 gauge sidelock side-by-side shotgun, serial number 101822, manufactured circa 1902. The 30-inch barrels have muzzles measuring .69 inch in both bores, consistent with tight full chokes. Fitted with double triggers, tang safety, extractor, bead front sight, checkered walnut pistol-grip stock and splinter forearm, and hard rubber buttplate. Overall length 47 inches; two-shot capacity. CONDITION: Bores are bright with some shot wear. Barrel finish is thinned and mottled with scattered spotting and surface oxidation; the lockplates and frame show substantial finish loss and gray-brown patina. The stock and forearm show handling and carry wear with dings, dents, and scratches. A fine crack is visible at the stock head behind a lockplate. Maker: Hunter Arms Co. Model: L.C.
