19th Century Framed Bristol Card Embroidery with Hymn - Antique framed 19th Century Bristol card embroidery, or punched paper embroidery, featuring the lyrics to the hymn ”O Saviour, I have Naught to Plead” by Jane Crewdson (English, 1808-1863), with visual elements such as birds, flowers, and vines, under glass in a period oak and gilt gesso frame measuring 8-9/16” x 10-5/8”. With a hand written note on the back that it was purchased in England in 1970. CONDITION: Note examined out of frame.
