U.S. Space Exploration Commemorative Covers – Apollo 11 10th Anniversary, Skylab, Viking Mars, Pioneer, Amelia Earhart (1978–1979) - Group of commemorative covers from the late 1970s, produced by various stamp clubs and philatelic societies. Subjects include Fernpex 1978 and 1979 covers honoring Skylab and Pioneer/Jupiter space achievements, a Viking Mission to Mars cover, and an Amelia Earhart birthday anniversary cover. Multiple covers mark the 10th anniversary of Apollo 11 and the first moon landing, including cachets inscribed “One Small Step” and “The Eagle Has Landed,” issued by Michipex, Thamespex, and the Johnstown Junior Stamp Club.
