The ONLY known work printed in Portugal by João Cromberguer, a very important German printer who worked in the Iberian Peninsula in the early days of the press in this territory. These ordinances were published by D. Manuel asking that the previous ones be destroyed, as D. Manuel II notes in his bibliographic work, probably because of the errors contained in the previous ones. It is, therefore, the first edition of the second compilation of Portuguese laws, a work very dear to D. Manuel I and which he committed himself to, looking for the best printer of the time to develop his activity in the Iberian territory. Only frontispieces of the 1st and 3rd volume were published. RARE and valuable.
