"The people shed tears, the peace captain was killed" - Shimon Peres - Bereishit Hadasha - a copy with an interesting dedication by Peres

Shimon Peres book Bereishit Hadasha ("New Genesis") 'in which he presents his ideological vision as of the 1990s, Zmora Bitan Publishing, 1998. On the first title page is an interesting dedication in Peres' handwriting and signature in reference to Rabin's Murder: "To Eitan Feldman, after singing "Let the sun rise" the bullets pierced the chest of Isaac, the people wept with tears, the captain of peace was murdered. Who will give and we will have the fulfillment of his vision to a new Genesis, with a faithful blessing Shimon Peres".

It is Interesting to note that in pages 88-92 of the book, Peres describes at length the events of the night of November 4, 1995 in which Rabin was assassinated, and also refers to the main event at the rally in support of the peace agreements held in Kings of Israel Square in Tel Aviv, where singer Miri Aloni invited Rabin and him to sing 'The Song of Peace', and how the bullets fired at Rabin pierced the lyrics of the song on a leaf he had placed minutes earlier in his jacket pocket, describing the hard feelings that evening, and the powers transferred to him immediately afterwards, and the occurrence moment after moment in that difficult evening.

Book in very good condition, with original paper cover.
