A rare antisemitic pamphlet, calling for obliging Jews defined as 'France's disaster' to wear a yellow badge. France, 1930s

A rare antisemitic booklet published anonymously, calling for Jews to wear a yellow badge in France. The writer, who was apparently a Nazi campaigner during the conquest of France, describes sharply and bluntly the disaster the Jews inflicted to the French people in all areas of life, and writes that it is time to oblige the French Jews to wear yellow badges. On the title page of the booklet is a drawing of a 'French yellow badge' with the word "Juif".

Booklet full of very harsh antisemitic descriptions: "The Jews ... poisoned the employee-employer relationship ... we must put an end to the heinous trade of the Jews! ... they created the black market ... and destroyed the hope for a better life ... The status of foreigners should be applied on them ... the Jews must be required to wear the yellow badge, the unique sign of their true identity .... ".

The pamphlet calls for the expulsion of Jews from French territory, and warns of the 'danger of Jewish demography' - that "if the Jewish colony grows, in 100 years for every 20 million French there will be 15 million Jews", and also brings the large percentage of Jews in all areas of France compared to French - In medicine, banking, the press, the courts, universities, "Judaism holds one-sixth of the total capital of our country",  and more. The author also accuses the Jews of being the largest drug and gambling dealers in the country, stating that over 50% of those involved are Jews.

The sad situation in which French society finds itself due to the rising power of the Jews, the writer concludes in the antisemitic sentence: "We have only eyes left to cry ... Our handkerchief was woven by the French, but it is sold to us by the Jews."

On the last page, the booklet accuses the Jews of being the cause of the wars in which France finds itself, and concludes that France is: "a ruined, bruised, and miserable country under Israeli slavery" and writes no less than: "This disaster demands punishment ... it is better to put the sword deep in the stomach of the Jew, as far as you can enter ... ".

On the back of the booklet, in another attempt to convince that only the yellow badge marking the Jews will get France out of its difficult situation, there is an illustration of a medieval yellow badge, and a caption describing the places where Jews were forced to wear this badge in the 15th and 16th centuries. In order to show that even in the distant past the "problem of the Jews" was "treated" in a similar way.

It is possible that the pamphlet was issued by the Nazi delegation in France after its conquest, as it is known that France was one of the countries where the Germans encountered opposition to requiring Jews to wear the yellow badge, and indeed in France and Denmark there was strong opposition. Here a propaganda attempt is made to bring the French to contain this charge. A rare and unknown booklet. Does not appear in the literature reviewing the phenomenon of anti-Semitism in France during World War II.
