David Melech Yisrael, song in black and white, by Paul Conrad. Haifa, 1949 - woodcuts on the subject of illegal immigration, and the War of Independence, immigration to Israel, and the Hebrew War of Existence, which dedicated to "our soldiers" after the victory of the War of Independence. First edition printed in 500 copies from the original tablets.


Prof. Paul Conrad Henich (1907-1997), an Israeli artist born in Austria, researcher and educator. Became famous around the world thanks to the many prints he created and the invention of a technique for painting by the effect of the sun's rays. Immigrated to Eretz Israel in 1935 following the rise of the Nazis to power and worked in the Faculty of Architecture at the Technion, Haifa, where he established the "Art Studio - Haifa". In his art he excelled in expressing movement in a primary and groundbreaking way in the field of art. He did it by various means - oil paints, woodcuts, photography and solar art and even in video works. Prof. Paul Conrad Hanich Became famous as a "solar painter" in a new field of art he developed and an artistic technique that was highly esteemed. Using his creative ideas and technique based on the use of sunlight, Hanich made use of a series of colored reflectors and filters, whose action is integrated into the relative motion of the sun and the earth. Thanks to these works he gained international recognition.
