Pair Brass Railroad Switch Locks w/Keys - This fine pair of authentic antique cast brass heart-shaped railroad switch padlocks features cast embossed drop covers and matching operational brass keys. The first example is cast for the Chicago, Milwaukee & St. Paul Railroad (”CM&STPRR”) and is hallmarked on the shackle by maker Loeffelholz & Co. of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The second example (”P.M.R.R.”) with these non-standard initials are recognized in the railway collectables market as period salesman samples, private industrial line markings, or vintage fantasy/custom re-stamps). It retains its original attached iron safety chain with clevis link. Both lock bodies and key dust covers display heavy age-appropriate oxidation, surface scratches, contact marks, and minor pitting consistent with authentic field service; key drop covers pivot properly, and both brass keys operate smoothly within the internal mechanisms.
