Western Electric Candlestick Telephone - Step back into early 20th-century telecommunications history with this classic Western Electric upright ”candlestick” desk telephone. Manufactured in the United States, this iconic piece features a black finished metal column and base, a swivel transmitter mouthpiece, a separate hand-held receiver, and traditional cloth-braided cordage. Clear manufacturer stampings reading ”WESTERN ELECTRIC MADE IN U.S.A.” line the base flange, with patent dates ranging from 1913 to 1918 visible across the base and receiver cap. The piece shows in good vintage condition, exhibiting age-appropriate finish wear, light surface oxidation, minor scuffs, and fraying along the woven cloth cord. H 12”, W 5.5”, D 5.5”.
