Early Double-Ended Vacuum Tube Apparatus - This early experimental glass vacuum tube is a rare surviving artifact of early 20th-century wireless telegraphy and radio technology. Featuring a central metallic cylinder housed within a hand-blown clear glass envelope, the piece displays a prominent evacuation tip from the hand-sealing process. Thin cloth-insulated and bare wire leads project from both ends of the tube, anchored by original black pitch or wax seals, typical of early Fleming valve-style detectors and physics lab apparatus. The item includes its original fitted cardboard storage box cushioned with protective cotton batting. Visually, the piece is in well-preserved vintage condition, with an intact, clear glass envelope free of visible cracks or chips. The internal metallic elements and lead wires remain securely positioned, while the external wire insulation and pitch seals show natural age-related fraying and surface wear.
