Bidspirit auction | 1920's Eclectic Grouping
1920's Eclectic Grouping - We begin with a hand painted long silk scarf that started out in life, much longer than it is now. Think Isadora Duncan. Short end needs to be hemmed. Very pretty with 10 inch fringe on one side. Then we have a brown silk blouse, blue print, worn low across hips with snaps on the bottom band. Seems to be part of a lounging outfit for home entertaining. 2 small holes on the front. A blue cotton ”Man-o-War” athletic clothing sailor top. Typically from a woman's gym uniform. Some under arm stains. Then there is a onesie which is what was worn under clothing before bra's and tap pants. Pink silk. Some repair work needed on the seams and straps. A black sheer beaded shoulder cover with tassels on the sleeves. An off white, very sheer dress, small with exquisite, hand made Irish crochet lace, featuring sculptural floral rosettes. 3 small holes. Next is a pink satin, full length slip in excellent condition. could probably be worn as a dress today, Then a green silk and crepe, square neckline, slide snap, dress with metallic trim. Some stains. Then a black crepe, long sleeve dress with elaborate embroidery at the hem and cuffs. Very good condition. Last, a dark blue crepe, beaded blouse with unusual sleeves. Needs some repair.
