Downton Abbey Era Maids Accessories - this 5-piece group consists of a crisp, white linen, over-the-head apron finished with a filet crochet lace trim at the center neckline and bottom hem - early 1900s. A long cotton 1/2 apron with a very small hole - bottom is trimmed with lovely crochet that sadly also has a hole - easy fix. Next is a collection of possible chamber maid head pieces and collars. These would have been heavily starched to stand up in front and tie in back. Also, there is a WWI, Red Cross nurses veil. This was part of the standard uniform for a field nurse. It identified the wearer as such and kept her hair out of her face when attending to patients. circa 1914-1918. Lastly is an embroidered lingerie bag. See photos
