Magnificent Victorian Dress c 1878 - From just after the Civil War, this dress is made of a rich blue-green fabric woven with a raised pattern. The design and fine details lead you to believe it was made in France, but there is no label. The accent color is a deep fuchsia and the 23 shell buttons up the front are hand painted. Fine white lace at the collar, cuffs and gladiator box pleat hem. It is an amazing dress, but it does have some stains at the hem and some discoloring on the front pleat. It has a slight train and can be worn with a bustle.
