Mrs. Osborn Co. Label Outfit - There is tons of information on Mrs. Osborn Company on the internet. Look her up. She was an amazing woman, who when her husband met with financial difficulty in 1893, she went to work. Unheard of in the day, first becoming a columnist and eventually opening her own high end dress shop in NYC. This custom made outfit is from 1906 when she moved to the address on the label. The NY Times regarded her gowns as the most beautiful creations made in this country. Examples of her work are on display at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC. This 2 piece dress is in excellent condition. Made of soft white flannel and open weave lace. Collar stays, a few moth bites.
