IOOF Noble Grand & Guide Regalia Group - This striking, cohesive lodge grouping of Independent Order of Odd Fellows (IOOF) ritual regalia features a full-length ”Noble Grand” officer's robe with its matching ceremonial hat alongside a ”Guide” officer's robe and hat combination. The ”Noble Grand” set, meticulously crafted by the renowned Henderson-Ames Co. of Kalamazoo, Michigan, showcases exquisite historical craftsmanship with its rich red velvet body, yellow accents, and intricate floral and vine embroidery running along the borders. The multi-toned purple and yellow velvet ”Guide” outfit, masterfully constructed by The Ward-Stilson Co. of New London, Ohio, features a sewn-on vest overlay, gold-toned soutache cord scrollwork embroidery, and an intricate, heavy metal lodge medal suspended from the chest. Objectively assessing their condition, both vintage sets show signs of heavy ceremonial use and age; the red velvet set features extensive fraying, tearing, and separation on the yellow silk-like linings of the sleeves and inner hat, fading and wear to the velvet, and minor staining on the interior striped fabric lining. The purple and yellow guide outfit exhibits moderate to severe sun fading and discoloration across the purple velvet sleeves and skirt, a missing silver button on the upper right vest portion, visible handling grime on the internal yellow satin hat lining, and light tarnish to the metallic medal components.
