Cribben & Sexton ”Hero” No. 114 Stove - An ornate Victorian-style cast-iron parlor stove marked ”HERO” and ”NO 114” on the front body and base skirt, manufactured by Cribben & Sexton Co. of Chicago, Illinois. Features intricate Victorian scrollwork, cabriole legs, front draft door, top lid insert with geometric motif, and a tall sheet-metal stovepipe attached. Shows surface rust inside the firebox, dust, age-appropriate oxidation throughout, a crack across the top removable plate, and a missing removal handle. H 92”, W 20”, D 20”.
