Antique Cast Iron Horse Hitching Post - Antique Cast Iron Horse Hitching Post, impressive 19th-century full-length cast iron hitching post features a classic horse head finial with an integrated bit ring resting atop a leaf-capital collar and spiral fluted column, rare complete 88-inch full post designed with an unadorned lower shaft to be buried deep in the ground or set in concrete are exceptionally hard to locate, as most were cut down over time, displays heavy age-appropriate weathering throughout, including surface rust, finish loss, paint erosion, and lichen/mineral buildup, particularly along the subterranean base, remains structurally sound and solid, good condition with normal age-related wear, see photos, 88”h x 11.25” at base of post, Note: Pickup/Transport required.
