The Kuba Komet Mid Century Modern TV - The Kuba Komet Mid Century Modern TV, The Kuba Komet is one of the most iconic and space-aged mid twentieth-century home entertainment centers ever produced, designed and manufactured in West Germany from 1957- 1962 and built from solid blonde maple and dark West African wenge wood, then finished with a high-gloss polyester coating, angular upper section resembles a sailboat sail and rotates on a vertical axis so the television can face any direction in the room, The ”Jetsons” would have been proud to own one-widely considered one of the 'holy grails' of Mid-Century Modern and Space Age design, collectors often desire it as a sculptural art piece rather than a functional media console, though this piece is retrofitted to be functional, this is a faithful reproduction of this incredible piece of history, included is a brand new smart TV and a Sony receiver with Bluetooth and built-in Yamaha theater speakers, TV itself swivels left or right effortlessly, below is an area to house any additional audio devices that may be desired, center panel as well as the left and right uppers have not been pertinently secured, allowing the new owner to provide their own 'touch', or change the equipment around as desired.
