Vintage 8' Rathskeller Sausage DS Neon Sign - Vintage 8' Rathskeller Sausage DS Neon Sign, double-sided, sheet metal historic neon sign from Der Rathskeller, a German restaurant that operated in Rockford, IL, founded in 1931 by WWI Veteran Fred Goetz, started as a street-level sausage shop and delicatessen, expanded downstairs into dining space, named ”Rathskeller” a German term for bar or restaurant located in a basement, after an 88-year run, one of the city's oldest dining establishments permanently closed in 2019, original, un-retouched hand-painted text, 90% retention on one side and 50% other side, neon was completely rebuilt and rewired, authentic weathering, fair to good condition, see photos.
