Vintage Lion Collars Display Case - Vintage Lion Collars Display Case, ”Lion Brand” was a prominent line produced by the United Shirt and Collar Company based out of Tory, New, nicknamed the ”Collar City”, showcase placed on general store or haberdashery counters to demonstrate various collar styles, in late 19th century, men wore shirts with detachable collars, because laundering an entire shirt was difficult and expensive, simply remove, wash and starch the collar separately, glass-gilded ”Lion Brand Collars” logo with rampant lion, front decal artwork crisp and vibrant, no major flaking, scratching or loss, glass intact, small crack on back glass panel, dark frame shows minor surface wear, case is loose, support brackets straight, contains nine detachable collars, structurally intact and maintain their circular shape well, noticeable yellowing, aging and light staining, exceptionally clean, original condition, good condition, see photos. 25” x 18 1/2” x 7”
