11 Medals Nice Collection - 1. 3 WWII US military campaign service ribbons. Good condition. 1-Asiatic Pacific Campaign Ribbon (Yellow). Awarded to US Armed Forces members who served in the Pacific Theater of operations between 07Dec1941-02March1946. 2-American Campaign Medal Ribbons (blue). Given to personnel who performed military service within the American Theater of operations outside of the continental US or served a year of continuous home duty. 1.5” long, 0.5” wide. 2. Philippine Liberation Medal. Good condition, ribbon is detached from medal. Established 20Dec1944 as a ribbon and 22July1945 as a full sized medal. Issued by the Commonwealth of the Philippines. Honors military service members of the Philippine Commonwealth and Allied Forces including the US who participated in driving out Japanese forces during the final 11 months of WWII. Text on back is FOR THE LIBERATION OF THE PHILIPPINES. To qualify for this award a veteran must have met at least 1 of the following criteris\a between 17Oct1944-03Sep1945: 1. Served in the Philippines or on ships in Philippine waters for at least 30 consecutive days; 2. Participated in the initial Leyte Island landing operations 17Oct-20Oct1944; or 2. Participated in any direct combat engagement against enemy forces during the liberation campaign. 3” long, 1.5” wide. 3. WWI Belgian Croix de Guerre (War Cross). Good condition. Established 25Oct1915 to recognize individual acts of bravery, heroism,and devotion to duty to all ranks of the Belgian Armed Forces and allied military personnel who distinguished themselves on Belgian soil. The monogram. A on the back stands for King Albert I of Belgium who reigned during the Great War (WWI). 4.25” long, 1.75” wide. 4. WWII US Victory Medal. Good condition. Military award established by Congress in 1945 to honor all members of the American Armed Forces who served on active duty during WWII. The 4 Freedoms in the center on the back: FREEDOM FROM FEAR AND WANT and FREEDOM OF SPEECH AND RELIGION, taken directly from President Franklin Delano Roosevelt's 1941 State of the Union address, outlining the fundamental human rights the Allies fought to protect. 3” long, e. 5. US Army Good Conduct Medal. Good condition. Front has inscription EFFICIENCY * HONOR * FIDELITY. Established 28June1941 by FDR. Awarded to enlisted US Army personnel who demonstrate exemplary conduct, efficiency, and fidelity through 3 years of consecutive years of active service or during wartime for 1 year of continuous faithful service. Back reads FOR GOOD CONDUCT. 3” long, 1.5: wide. 6. US Air Force Good Conduct Medal. Good condition. Awarded to enlisted members of the US Air Force for exemplary conduct, efficiency, and fidelity over a continuous 3 years period of active military service. Has inscription on front of EFFICIENCY * HONOR * FIDELITY. On he back is FOR GOOD CONDUCT. 3” long, 1.5” wide. 7. US Marine Corps Expeditionary Medal. Good condition. One of the oldest military medals still issued to active duty personnel today. Originally established as a ribbon only award 9=08May1919, officially upgraded to a physical medal 1921. To qualify for this award a Marine must meet the following requirements: Land on foreign territory during a military deployment; Engage in military operations against an armed opposing force; Participate in a specific designated operation for which no other campaign or service medal has been authorized. Subsequent awards are denoted by attaching small bronze service stars to the ribbon. On the back is UNITED STATES MARINE CORPS FOR SERVICE. 3” long, 1.5” wide. 8. US Navy Expeditionary Medal. Good condition. Designed by A.A. Weinman. Established 05Aug1936, awarded to US Navy personnel who have landed on foreign territory and engaged in operations against armed opposition or operated under circumstances deemed to merit special recognition. This is 1 of the few military service medals that can be awarded retroactively with eligibility extending as far back as 1874. Text on the back is: UNITED STATES NAVY FOR SERVICE. 3” long, 1.5” wide. 9. United States Navy Good Conduct Medal. Good condition. One of the oldest continuously presented military decorations in the US Armed Forces. The front has UNITED STATES NAVY on it. The back has FIDELITY * ZEAL * OBEDIENCE. This medal was established by an act of Congress in 1869 awarded exclusively to enlisted sailors to honor sustained exemplary behavior, efficiency, and faithful service. Currently a sailor must complete 3 consecutive years of active duty service with a completely clean disciplinary record to qualify. It used to be 4 years before being updated Jan1996. Subsequent achievements of the medal are marked by adding small 3/16” bronze stars to the ribbon with a silver star is worn to signify 5 bronze star. 3” long, 1.5” wide. 10.
