International decoration awarded to military personnel and police officers from from around the world who participate in joint UN peacekeeping, humanitarian, and disaster relief missions. Has UN on the front and IN THE SERVICE OF PEACE on the back. Personnel must complete at least 90 days of consecutive service deployed with the mission to earn the decoration. Over 30 countries have contributed military observers or police forces to MINURSO. Key contributors include the US, Australia, Canada, the UK, and various European and African partners. 3.25” long, 1.5” wide. 2. Surgeon General's Exemplary Service Medal. Good condition. An award from the United States Public Health Service (USPHS) Commissioned Corps. Awarded at the sole discretion of the US Surgeon General to recognize members of the Uniformed Services who have made exemplary, noteworthy contributions to the initiatives of the Surgeon General. This is the 4th highest award within the PHS framework. In other military branches it holds a level of prestige equivalent to the Legion of Merit. On the front is: THE SURGEON GENERAL OF THE UNITED STATES. On the back it has: US PUBLIC HEALTH SERVICE. 2.75” long, 1.5” wide. 3. US Medal of Freedom (1945). Good condition. Established by President Harry S. Truman on 06July1945 by Executive Order 9586. Originally created to honor civilians, resistance fighters, and foreign nationals who contributed significantly to the US and Allied war efforts during WWII. In 1963 President John F. Kennedy re-established and completely restructured this award into the modern Presidential Medal of Freedom also changing the design entirely to a white star motif. United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFL) Mission with an added Office of the Secretary-General in Afghanistan and Pakistan (OSGAP) deployment clasp. Good condition. Has IN THE SERVICE OF PEACE on the back.
