Indonesian Kris Dagger, Scabbard & Bag - An extraordinary Indonesian Kris (Keris) ceremonial dagger showcasing a striking, highly sought-after hilt carved from fossilized elephant or mammoth molar tooth (geraham gajah), displaying its characteristic natural mineralized plate layers. The hilt rests on an ornate, filigree-worked metal mendak (ferrule) above a wavy, pattern-welded pamor Damascus-style steel blade. The scabbard features a beautifully polished, highly figured hardwood wrangka (crosspiece) fitted to an elaborately relief-chased metal pendok sleeve adorned with traditional floral and scroll motifs. Included with the weapon is a soft green and yellow padded felt storage pouch with tassel drawstrings. The dagger and scabbard remain in very good to excellent overall condition, displaying minor surface wear, expected natural age lines inherent to the fossilized tooth hilt, faint patina on the metalwork, and gentle handling wear to the storage pouch.
