WWI US Camo Painted Helmet - WWI US M1917 ”Doughboy” helmet (Brodie helmet) shell. Good condition. Camo appears to be an authentic multi-colored geometric camoflage pattern, may have been touched up, Possibly part of the American Expeditionary Forces (AEF). Helmet is missing liner and chin strap. Stamp inside YJ161 heat-lot code, indicates raw steel sheet rolled out by American Sheet and Tin Plate Company, 161 denotes sequential production batch or ”heat of steel” tracking number assigned by the U.S. Ordnance Department. 12” front to back, 11” across, approximately 6” deep.
