Issued by the federal government during the 1949s to civilian shipyard workers, factory employees, and maritime logistics personnel to recognize excellence in production and exceptional contributions to the American home front war effort. Good condition. Top banner is 1st at Vicksburg for their role in the assault on Vicksburg during the American Civil War where they were the 1st to plant their colors on the enemy's works. The front is also marked Forty Rounds over US men of the 15th Corps which the 13th Infantry was part of would slap their cartridge boxes and say Forty rounds in the cartridge box and 20 in the pocket. Maker's mark on the back is for N.S. Meyer Inc. of New York. 1.25” long, 1” wide. 4. Distinctive Unit Insignia (DUI, Unit Crest) for the 32nd Infantry Regiment of the US Army. Good condition. Approved 05March1929. The regiment earned the nickname ”Chosin” for its bravery at the Battle of Chosin Reservoir during the Korean War. Maker's mark on the back is .B.I.Co. JAPAN for Nippon Badge and Insignia Company. This pin is likely from the Korean War era (1950-1953. 1.25” long, 0.75” wide. 5.
