WWII Rommel Family Trophy Documents & Photos - This remarkable ensemble features a primary and secondary ”Certificate of Captured Enemy Military Equipment” dated May 26, 1945, issued to Pfc. Theodore P. Keller. As a specialist in theater-captured relics, I find the provenance listed here extraordinary: the documents authorize the possession of items purportedly acquired from the widow of Field Marshal Erwin Rommel, including his leather belt, holster, a German sword with scabbard, and his dress hat with emblem. Surrounding these historic papers are eleven original black-and-white photographs depicting Pfc. Keller and various scenes of German soldiers and military life at the close of the war. The items are presented in a professional multi-aperture mat within a gilt-finished wood frame. The documents show natural age-toning and original fold lines, and the photos remain crisp with some expected silvering; the frame has minor edge wear, and it should be noted that there is no glass protecting the matted contents. H 20.5”, W 21.75”, D 1”. Please see photos. Disclaimer: Due to the high quality of WWII German fakes, this item is sold as-is without warranty of authenticity.
