Bidspirit auction | HOLD WWII Australian CSR No.
HOLD WWII Australian CSR No. 3 Mk I Flare Gun - This impressive piece of military history is an Australian-made No. 3 Mk I signal flare pistol, manufactured by the Colonial Sugar Refining Company (CSR) in Sydney during WWII. Cast in heavy brass with a distinctive flared ”blunderbuss” muzzle and walnut grips, it features matching serial numbers (24849) on both the barrel and frame. The markings clearly show the ”CSR SYDNEY” stamp alongside the Australian military broad arrow and ”D?K” proof marks, dated 1943. While the brass retains a beautiful natural patina and the wooden grips show only minor field wear, the central pivot pin is currently missing, though the action remains otherwise complete. H 6”, W 2”, D 10”. Please see photos for condition.
