Antique Military & Named USMC Medal Group - This historically significant grouping features a US Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal awarded to William E. Richards (No. 2833), dated March 9, 1912, featuring the iconic rifle-shaped suspension bar. Also included is a fascinating Military Order of the Serpent (M.O.S.) medal, the fun-loving ”honorary” degree of the United Spanish War Veterans (USWV), identifiable by the distinctive serpent coiled around the triangular medallion. Completing the set is a 19th-century Prussian War Commemorative Medal for the campaigns of 1813–1814. These pieces are crafted from bronze and various alloys, exhibiting a rich, authentic patina. The items show age-related oxidation, ribbon wear on the M.O.S. medal, and minor surface abrasions, but remain in good collectible condition. Largest H 3”, W 1.75”, D 0.25”. Please see photos.
