Scale Model 12-Pounder Field Artillery Cannon - This finely crafted model field cannon replicates a historic 19th-century artillery piece, featuring a black-finished metal barrel mounted on a highly detailed wooden carriage. The carriage is expertly constructed with two large wooden spoked wheels fitted with metal rims, a pivoting elevating screw mechanism beneath the breech, and two integrated ammunition boxes flanking the barrel that open to reveal functional storage compartments—with one box containing a small plastic sample tube with a red cap as seen in image_5.png and image_6.png. The piece exhibits a handsome, aged patina with minor scuffs, dust accumulation, and light wear on the wooden and metal components consistent with display and handling; notably, a touch hole is present on the breech showing visible corrosion around it as captured in image_4.png, indicating past use as a black powder signal or salute piece.
