Bidspirit auction | WWII US M1 Helmet Pair

WWII US M1 Helmet Pair Fixed/Swive; Bales - Features two WWII-era US M1 military helmets, showcasing major production variations of the standard-issue GI steel pot, both featuring desirable early front-seam rim welds. The fixed bale helmet retains its original olive drab cork-textured finish accompanied by an intact high-pressure resin composite liner displaying the ”CAPAC” cross design logo with mold number ”17” above it in the crown, showing light suspension webbing wear. The swivel bale helmet features a repainted exterior textured shell outfitted with a 1/4-inch square mesh camouflage net overlay, a leather chinstrap/band, and yellow paint traces along the interior crown, with the netting and canvas chinstraps remaining in very good condition. The fixed bale helmet exhibits expected paint loss, finish scraping, and minor surface oxidation to the top exterior shell, while both helmets show light age-appropriate wear. H 7”, W 8.5”, D 10.75”.
