WWII German Medal & VW Pin Set - This collection features a 1939 War Merit Cross with Swords and a 1938 ”Grundsteinlegung des Volkswagenwerkes” (Volkswagen Factory Foundation Stone) commemorative pin. The VW pin is a highly discussed item among collectors; while historical accounts suggest roughly 500 silver-washed aluminum pins were produced for dignitaries, thousands of others were made for general attendees, often from Bakelite or zinc alloys. Authenticating these requires careful inspection of the material and reverse markings. The set is rounded out by a small enameled shooting association membership pin and a unique set of nested swastika hoop charms.
