WWII Kriegsmarine Italian Signal Flag - This WWII-era German Kriegsmarine naval signal flag features a two-sided printed design constructed from cotton and rayon, showcasing five alternating vertical stripes in the national colors of Italy (red, white, and green). In naval signaling systems, specific flags were issued by the Kriegsmarine to identify allied vessels, specific code groups, or foreign nations. The hoist edge is oversewn with corner reinforcing patches and attached rope loops for halyard attachment, stamped ”F I N” with a sewn-on maker's label for Württembergische Cattunmanufactur of Heidenheim a. Brz. and an attached paper inspector's tag. Condition is overall excellent and unissued, exhibiting light scattered moth nips and a minor dark dye smudge near the right center edge.
