Bidspirit auction | Hungarian Canteen & Binocular Lot

Hungarian Canteen & Binocular Lot - This lot paired from two distinct eras features a traditional Hungarian shepherd's flask (kulacs), handcrafted using folk art wood carving encased in decorative stitched leather with a hand-painted coat of arms, alongside mid-20th century military optical technology with a post-WWII 6x30 binocular set marked ”HONVÉDSÉG TULAJDONA” (Hungarian Armed Forces property). The set comes complete with its original leather case, canvas neck strap, and yellow lid-stored optics filters—making for a perfect pairing when a shepherd is out scanning the fields looking for his sheep. Condition across both pieces shows minor surface wear, scuffing, and light drying to the leather straps and case, alongside light fading to the hand-painted heraldic shield, though the optics remain clear and all mechanical components and closures function properly. H 12”, W 7.75”, D 3.5”. Please see photos for condition.
