West German Signal Flare Pouch & Flares - This post-WWII West German military/police signal flare pouch features a heavy-duty green canvas body, black leather trim and closure straps, and an adjustable canvas shoulder strap. The leather tab is stamped with the West German Bundesadler (Federal Eagle) government acceptance mark, ”BMDJ” (Bundesministerium der Justiz / Federal Ministry of Justice acquisition mark), and inspector number ”3”. Designed for border guards or paramilitary police, the interior unfolds to reveal tan leather loops holding ten aluminum 26.5mm signal flare cartridges with red and green color identification rings. Overall good vintage condition showing light canvas scuffing, minor leather surface crazing along the trim, intact hardware, and light oxidation to the aluminum flare casings.
