Brass Miniature Signal Cannon w/Stand - Decorative Brass Saker Cannon Model This handsome desk-side replica represents a ”Saker,” a medium-weight cannon popular during the 16th and 17th centuries, famously known for its 9 lb. shot and impressive range. The piece features a solid brass barrel with traditional tiered reinforcement rings and a globose cascabel, mounted on a black-finished carriage with plastic wheels. The base is expertly cast in aluminum with embossed historical specifications: ”9 LB. BALL SAKER 4000 YDS.” Included with this display piece are four miniature iron cannonballs and a separate wedge-style quoin for adjusting the barrel's elevation. The item is in good decorative condition, showing some honest wear to the black paint on the carriage and light surface oxidation on the aluminum base, which adds to its vintage character. Measurements: H 3.5”, W 10.5”, D 5.5” Please see photos for condition.
