Text on the reverse indicates this is a Sudentenland Medal (Die Medaille zur Erinnerung an den 1. Oktober 1938). The date 01Oct1938 marks the annexation of the Sudentenland region from Czechoslovakia. Around the edge is the slogan of the period ”Ein Volk, Ein Reich, Ein Fuhrer” (”One People, One Empire, One Leader”).
