Span Am War, WW1 US Military Stereo-cards & Viewer - Step back in time with this fascinating archive featuring a classic Underwood & Underwood stereoscope viewer, patented June 11, 1901, and manufactured in New York, paired with a substantial collection of 50 stereoview cards. This historical lot focuses heavily on the pre-World War I activities of the US armed forces, capturing pivotal campaigns in Cuba and the Philippines, and stretching as far back as the Spanish-American War in 1898. The viewer is in good overall condition featuring its signature aluminum hood and wooden handle, though it is missing the portion that holds cards in place for viewing; the 50 accompanying cards show varying degrees of age-consistent toning and edge wear typical of historical paper ephemera. H 5”, W 7”, D 12”. Please see photos for condition.
