Antique Chicago, Fraternal & Military Medals (4) - This collection features four fascinating early 20th-century medals that tell a story of civic pride and fraternal service. Included is 1) a notable 1928 Goodwill Excursion medal from the ”Big Bill” William Hale Thompson mayoral era in Chicago, featuring the city seal and red/white/blue ribbon. 2) an Oriental 33 fraternal ribbon with the inscription “UNSERN TAPFERN KRIEGERN 1864” 3) A 3rd Infantry marksmanship medal with ”1912” and ”131st INF” tabs, and 4) A marksmanship medal with 131’st INF” stamped on back. Most pieces show hallmarks of the Greenduck Co. Chicago or similar period manufacturers. The items are in good vintage condition, displaying a natural aged patina on the brass and bronze components, with nominal fraying, soiling, and light fading to the silk ribbons consistent with age.
