Bidspirit auction | 7th Cav Infantry Style Copper

7th Cav Infantry Style Copper Bugle - This vintage copper and brass infantry-style bugle features an applied copper-colored insignia on the bell depicting crossed sabers with a ”7” and an ”A,” specifically associated with the 7th Cavalry. The instrument is constructed with a copper body and brass stays, reinforcing its aesthetic as a traditional field horn. While designed with the silhouette of 19th-century military instruments, the specific solder technique and the style of the applied insignia identify this as a later 20th-century commemorative or decorative reproduction, likely inspired by the ”Gunga Din” style British duty bugles frequently seen in the souvenir trade. The piece exhibits an honest aged patina throughout, with scattered oxidation and surface scuffs to the copper, though it remains structurally sound and retains its mouthpiece with a safety chain. H 11.75”, W 4”, D 6.25”. Please see photos for condition.
