This is an early, highly regarded, series one rifle, produced between 1994-2002. The VS prefix confirms this was not part of the 1970-1993 bolt sleeve safety recall. This rifle bolt assembly was manufactured with the factory update safe design. It has a buttery smooth action, deep blueing, very sharp checkering on the nice light, walnut stock with a fleur-de-lis ( ie: Lily ) design, indicating this is the premium deluxe model.
