Columbia Type S Coin Op Phonograph - The Columbia Type S Coin-Operated Graphophone 1897-98 was introduced during the earliest era of commercial, public sound recording technology. The original finish oak cabinet and decal is in VG condition and retains the original cast iron screw down feet. All the glass on the hinged cover is good. The mechanism in in VG original condition. The reproducer has a stylus but could use a rebuild. The braided cloth connection hose is a period correct replacement. Machine accepts coins , winds and runs but a part of the reset mechanism is broken (the piece is included) and will need to be repaired. The original crank is missing the anti theft screw. Has all keys for the locks. Comes with an original all brass seamless flare bell horn with a 45 degree elbow. The oak marquee is a replacement. Overall measures 16” wide, 10.5” deep, 13” tall.
